María García— Spanish 1 – 3, AP and Advanced Spanish Maria has her Masters in Spanish and Education. (also has BS in elementary education) She taught Spanish at Delaware County Christian School for several years and currently teaches Spanish at Wheaton College. Meets in the Tutoring Center as well as virtually.
Lois Krogh – College Essays
Writing a strong college essay can be daunting. Lois is a gifted writer who loves to help students write these essays at any stage in the process from brainstorming ideas to revising early drafts to proofreading the final draft. Meets via Zoom on Monday afternoons.
Kristen Rusthoven— History, English/Language Arts, Reading/Writing, ACT/SAT, Study Skills. Graduate of WCGS, Wheaton Academy, Trinity Christian College (B.A) and Olivet University (M.A.E. Reading Specialist). Certified teacher endorsed to teach History, English/Language Arts, and is a certified Reading Specialist. Has experience working with all ability levels. 8 years of teaching experience. Has experience teaching study skills classes and literacy intervention classes. Meets at the Tutoring Center.
Dr. Natalie Henderson—Math, Spanish, and History Tutor Grades 5-12. Former asst. principal. Taught English and History for over 12 years. Wheaton Academy and Wheaton College graduate. Private tutor for all subjects for over 16 years. Meets in the Tutoring Center as well as via zoom.
Addie Fritz—Basic Math, Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, ACT/SAT, English, and Study Skills Tutor Grades 1-12. Former Middle School/High School Resource Teacher at Westminster Christian School. Wheaton Academy graduate (2012). Moody Bible Institute graduate. Meets at the Tutoring Center and WCGS.
Tom Sandlund – Middle School /High School Math Tutor. (Geometry, Algebra I and II, College Algebra, Trig, Pre-Calc, Calculus, ) ACT/SAT Math Tutor. Graduate of Wheaton College. Tom received his Masters of Education in Mathematics from Northeastern Illinois University. He taught all levels of math at Glenbard West for 34 years and St. Francis for 2 years. Meets at the Tutoring Center.
Gale Stubbs – Elementary and Middle School Math, Algebra, Geometry, Writing, Bible, History Taught Middle School/High School courses in math, literature, history, and language arts to students from over 60 countries in Kazakhstan, China, Venezuela, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ukraine, and the United States. Meets at the Tutoring Center and WCGS.
Karene Lo galbo — French 1 through AP French tutor. Karene is a native and fluent French speaker who grew up in France. She attended the French schools with the exception of her Sophomore year when she attended WA. She holds her BA from North Central College with a major in music and minor in French. She has now been teaching and tutoring French for several decades. She has subbed at WA on a long term basis for French 4 and AP. She has also taught French at Wheaton Christian Grammar School. Meets at the Tutoring Center.
David Okposio – Precalculus and Physics
Delta State University,Nigeria -Bsc. Mathematics, Purdue University Northwest…. MS-Mechanical Engineering. Currently teaches precalculus at Wheaton Academy.
